BOWERS RACING

Bowers Racing was established back in 1980 in Chemung New York. Since the age of 15 I have owned over 100 cars,95 of them were Chevys.My first car was a 1955 Chevy Wagon.When i graduated from High school in 1982 i located a nice 1956 Chevy 2door hardtop.Soon in went a built 327 and i proceeded to grenade no less than 3 transmissions & 2 rear ends after installing a NOS setup.The car has served as transportation,a race car,and It was even used in our wedding when i married my wife Renee in 1989.The car has run a best of 13.42@99.9 mph over in Pomona at the fairplex.I have raced it at numerous Super Chevy events including events held at Pomona, Firbird Raceway in Phx and the new track in Tucson. Future plans are a mild bigblock and many more miles of cruising! In 1989 i was given a 55 Chevy wagon by my dad.The car had some rust issues so it was decided to build it into a sedan delivery with the prostreet treatment.Currently under way is a blown 468,built Tonys Racing turbo 400 with 3000 stall,narrowed 9 inch with 4;56 gears,full cage,RCI fuel cell,Beard racing seats,Simpson 5 way harnesses,Monza tilt steering column,Centerline 15x3 and 15x14 wrapped in Mickey Thompson Rubber.The car will sport a glass cowl induction hood and front fenders.Estimated completion date????????
